A key challenge in developing and characterizing new cells is to identify and quantify protein markers that can distinguish closely related cell types, detect normal and pathological differentiation processes, and identify specific protein changes caused by deliberate laboratory efforts to control cell development. In many cases, the presence or absence of a few well-characterized protein markers is a very reliable indicator of a particular cell state and they can be very valuable tools in manipulating cell differentiation to mimic ontogeny.

Primorigen's multiplexed  fluoresencence immunoassay format and patent pending technology provide both high quality antibody content and proprietary methods to increase specificity of marker detection and greater capacity to distinguish between cell types and cell differentiation states.

Primorigen's quantitative immunoarray technology binds primary antibodies to a thin-film nitrocellulose surface to capture the protein target. A biotinylated, target-specific detect antibody is then added, followed by a fluorescently labeled streptavidin reporter.  These quantitative, multiplexed immunoarrays increase sample throughput, minimize reagent costs and produce statistically sound data since multiple, miniaturized data points are collected for each protein analyte.  Primorigen's contract services include novel, rapid methods for developing and characterizing monoclonal antibodies.  We welcome antibody projects involving challenging antigens.
