Mouse Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are multipotent stem cells which can be extracted from a variety of tissues, including bone marrow, adipose tissue, cord blood, and many others. They can physiologically differentiate to osteoblasts, chondrocytes and adipocytes. In addition, it has been suggested that MSCs can transdifferentiate towards ectodermal and endodermal lineages. Moreover, they are endowed with immunoregulatory proprierties. All these features make MSCs good candidates for cell therapies and regenerative medicine for treating those pathologies, including neurodegenerative disorders, against which pharmacological tools are uneffective.

Primorigen'’s mouse mesenchymal stem cells are high quality primary adult stem cells derived from C57BL/6 adipose tissue or bone marrow (tibia and femur) by standardized methods. After approx. 7 days in culture, the cells will form a monolayer that can be passed several times (up to 20 passages). Each vial contains approx. 1 million viable cells. Due to the lack of a single specific marker to unequivocally identify MSCs, each lot has been validated for morphological and functional properties. Primorigen guarantees cell performance only when the approved media and supplements are used (refer to www.primorigen.com/media). Cells are available at specific passages in vitro (P0,P3, etc.) upon request, at no additional charge.
